Another Malayalam movie. Mohanlal back at his best. He had lately sidetracked from his strength, a down to earth human being, to a super hero who could beat down 20 villains and being super rich with massive influence and power, characters. Majority of such roles bombed but the actor was in a delusion that he was doing his best but situation was at fault. Not this one. HE IS BACK.
I'm fed up of propaganda movies. Lately I find a lot of Malayalam movies are such. This one started out with the feel of propaganda. Showing the goodness of farming life styles. Well, it is not. The movie is about the helplessness of a farmer in Kerala when faced with the threats of land mafia. Lately this has been a big problem in Kerala. Land mafia is out taking land illegally off from villagers with threats. With massive political and money power, the poor stand no chance. Mohanlal fits into the role of one such farmer in this movie. The fight is on and that is the story. The story's main plus point is that it could relate to the common man. Also it brings out the goodness of farming as weel as the evil of bad politician and mafia nexus.
Watch it if you can get a hand on this. My personal rating is 4 out of 5.
